The reunion was hosted by Laurene and Ron and their family and was held at the community center in Clifton. A really nice place for a reunion with its kitchen, stage, bathrooms, and lots of room. Seven of the Mihu children were represented. Merlyn, Santha, Merlinda, Terrindee, Elena, Maren, the twins, Ramael and our families were also there. Almost 60 people. Laurene has done a lot of research about ancestors in the 1600s and we learned about some of them. We ate and visited and played and learned, and hung out. Very nice. We stayed at a B & B out in the desert--lovely setting and very nice.
At the B & B
Got up and gardened. Translation=pulling things out and transplanting seedlings in the newly made spaces. Then Maren and I went to the Farmer's Market in Provo which is more like a flea market right now. More produce a little later. Lots of jewelry and hair things and food and other stuff. Maren was glad our time was short because she kept on buying hair things. Then, Wayne and I went to a barbecue at his cousin's home--just returned as mission president of the Denmark Copenhagen Mission Then I went for a perm and Wayne had a sand tray client. Then we went to Pizza pie cafe for supper. I liked the pasta the best. Today we went to the mission report given by Doug Olausen (Margaret and Clarence's son) and his family. Two daughters went to Denmark with them.
Lots of family. LouAnn and Ivan stayed with us for a few days. Charlie Loper had his first birthday party. Laurene and Ron came for the weekend. On the fourth we gathered at Rob and Tina's---Laurene and Ron, LouAnn and Ivan, Kimberly and Stephen, Maren and Jeff, Tyson and Janna, Wayne and Elena, Alysa? (David's daughter) and various children attached to the above.
Went with the MacMichaels to sit on their new front lawn and watch the parade pass us by. Kirk, Kathy and Jon came and later, Tina and girls. It was a cute small town parade with Julia in the marching band, the governor of Utah, a huge ward primary, the missionaries, and a half hours worth of people and vehicles going by. Kirk and Jon had run in a 5K earlier that morning, Jon coming in third (with a medal) and Kirk coming in fifth in the old man category.

There was a luau, a carnaval, and will be fireworks tonight. Not a bad celebration.
Then we went over to Kirk's to watch Ghana defeat the USA. No celebration there.
