LABOR DAY DRIVE

Wayne suggested that we do something different this holiday and go for a drive to see something new.  So, we drove to Heber, then to Duchesne, then almost to Price, and then home through the canyon.  About five and a half hours of driving.  We did a circle.  Hit our last stoplight in Heber, and didn't see another one until Springville on the way home. Saw lots of mountain forests, dessert and red rock, climbed summits, went through an indian reservation, saw that Strawberry Reservoire makes Deer Creek look tiny, saw a few trees and scrub oak just barely starting to turn color, passed tons of traffic going the opposite way (going home) and ran into a traffic jam almost at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon.  Its quite a sight, after all that nature, to see the windmills at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon.  Impressive.  Utah is a beautiful state and there are places where you could still shoot a western motion picture.

  1. Look at all the sun and blue sky! What a nice day.

We're enjoying grey, cold rain. And making the circle from here to ER in rotation... *sigh*...

  2. Yay! I love that you are blogging. Keep it up and maybe I will too and we will be back to being blogging buddies again. I've missed it. It looks like your ride was wonderful.
